HOSTSEARCH: Zachary, thank you for the opportunity to talk with you today.
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: Thank You! It’s a pleasure to be able to share Web Host Boot Camp with the Host Search community.
HOSTSEARCH: You have a very interesting virtual conference event. Can you please tell us how you get the ideas?
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: Earlier this decade I was a small hosting provider myself and I remember how difficult it was at the start to be able to afford to attend the conferences or even have the time while working hard at growing the business. I figured what better way to assist small and medium sized hosts, than through an online education and networking event.
HOSTSEARCH: That's interesting! Please tell us more details of the conference.
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: Web Host Boot Camp is a three day long virtual conference for the web hosting, web design, and web development industry. It features presentations from some of the best and brightest in our industry on topics ranging from PCI compliance to Value Added Services. The major track that we looked to focus on during the upcoming boot camp is new technologies. New PCI Compliance regulations are being handed down and IPv6 is right around the corner, we wanted to make that information available to who needed it at an affordable cost.
HOSTSEARCH: What can the attendees expect from the Web Host Boot Camp Winter 2009?
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: Attendees can expect a much higher level of education. Web Host Boot Camp was initially created to assist start ups. One of the biggest items we encountered was the fact that start ups were attending the boot camp; however, experienced veterans also were interested in the conference. We have fixed that though and now have many different topics and they are all at different levels.
HOSTSEARCH: How many people do you expect to attend the conference and how will you market the conference to exhibitors?
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: We have capacity for up to 1,000 attendees at our winter event. We are looking to exceed available capacity for the winter show.
HOSTSEARCH: What do you plan for 2010? Where will you take the event to next step?
ZACHARY MCCLUNG: The plans for the 2010 shows will not begin until January or February of 2010; however, we do look to add more of a flashy and virtual presentation to the event as it grows and succeeds. We are always looking at ways to make the virtual event more interactive and provide attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors new ways to network.
