“Google My Business” Enables Businesses to “Get on Google”
Google has announced the launch of a suite of tools that are designed to help businesses “Get on Google”. Once there, the tools allow users to add and update information about their businesses, read customer reviews, and add photos showing their business. Known as “Google My Business”, the tools are integrated with the Google+ social network.

Google’s new service’s interface has a “Get on Google” button which guides users through the various processes required to initiate and then maximize a Google presence. People who were already using related Google services (such as Places for Business) will soon be upgraded to the new Google My Business interface. The new service adds a business’ information to Google+, Google Search, and Google Maps, meaning customers and potential customers can access data about a business through any device.

Google My Business also features AdWords Express, an “advertising product that automatically manages your online ads, without the need for daily management or tasks”. The feature provides a range of information, including where visitors are joining a site from, and the demographics of a company’s Google+ audience. A mobile application will shortly be available to allow users to access Google My Business via Android devices. An iOS application will also soon be available soon.
