Web Host 1&1 Internet Inc. Offers Free RatePoint for Business Websites
September 3, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host 1&1 Internet Inc. (http://www.1and1.com) is offering free RatePoint (http://www.ratepoint.com/), it was announced yesterday. The company, which bills itself as “the world's largest web host by known servers”, is offering RatePoint with its Business Web Hosting packages from September 10, 2008 to October 30, 2008. 1&1 customers will be able to pay for the service once the promotional offer concludes.
RatePoint is a reputation management system that allows site owners to “collect feedback from their visitors and display a star-rating for satisfaction, communicating their credibility and trustworthiness”. The system’s “lead feature” is an online feedback form that allows online customers to “provide ratings that are dynamically configured into a SiteSeal 1 to 5 star-rating”. RatePoint has become a well recognized means of establishing customer satisfaction, and, as the company put it, signifies that a website has “a tangible commitment to online customer service”.
