4th Annual Hosting Transformation Summit – North America (HTS) Takes Place September 15-17, 2008

September 4, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The 4th Annual Hosting Transformation Summit – North America, or HTS (http://www.t1r.com/events/index.php?e=10), takes place September 15-17, 2008, it was reported recently. Organizers Tier1 Research (T1R), who bill themselves as “the leading independent research firm covering the Internet infrastructure sector”, will provide a team of industry analysts that will focus on a number of pertinent hosting-related issues including cloud computing, the need for “greener” data centers and virtualization. The event takes place at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, LAS Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The focus of the event will be the explosive growth of the managed hosting and colocation services market. HTS panel discussions will include key individuals such as John Zanni, Microsoft’s General Manager of Worldwide Hosting, who will be speaking on issues such as Vista, Microsoft Hypervisor (which competes with VMWare), managed hosting, management of hosting environments, and the overall contribution the hosting market is making to the global economy.

At least 500 participants will attend the summit, which will offer a number of networking opportunities with peers, senior executives and key decision-makers from summit sponsors such as AT&T, Verizon, Microsoft, VMWare, Enigmatec and Tata Communications and other industry leaders. Other attendees will include venture capital, private equity and public-market investors from such industry leaders as Piper Jaffray, Raymond James, Credit Suisse and Signal Hill Capital.

On Thursday, September 18, T1R’s parent company, The 451 Group, which analyzes the business of enterprise IT innovation, will hold its 451 ICE Summit 2008, an intensive, one-day program that will provide an overview of virtualization as it relates to the desktop, data centers, the application life cycle, services, security, storage and hosting.
