Actif Communications Creates Global Email Format

| February 8, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Actif has created a new email format for marketers in order to allow them to continue to send email that not only complies to Best Practices it also meets or exceeds the requirements of Can Spam, The Australian Spam Act and the EU Directives. The new global email format contains best practices such as emails should contain a physical contact address, the subject line should not be misleading, the return address should be valid, the recipient should have the option of requesting not to be further emailed which should be acted upon within 5 business days. The problem for marketers is that they are often blacklisted by ISPs for sending spam for violation of another countries spam laws even if they are in compliance from the source country. The GEF aims to exceed or meet all the laws of Europe, Australia, and the United States in order to work around this problem. See the Actif Communications website for further details on the format. |
