Web Hosting Provider Offers $39 Dedicated Servers
October 27, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Advanced Internet Technologies (AIT - http://www.ait.com), one of the largest web hosting and ecommerce providers in the United States, has announced it is offering low-cost dedicated servers, with prices starting at $39 per month.
The limited supply of servers on offer provide Pentium or Celeron processors alongside 512 MB of RAM, 40GB of disk space and 2,000 GB of data transfer. The package also includes redundant OC-3 connectivity, multiple IP addresses, root access and server-specific firewalls.
Although the Xeon-powered dedicated servers released this year address the needs of customers with higher-end requirements, as Clarence Briggs, AIT's Chief Executive Officer explained, “Not everyone wants that, and even people who have a more expensive machine may want a lower cost box for secondary use. Our experience has been that the self-managed environment remains popular among developers and administrators who want to configure a machine to their liking and have the know-how to trouble-shoot most issues.”
