Amazon Web Services (AWS) - a cloud leader since 2006 - is to sponsor the
SharePoint Fest which takes place at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington, USA between August 18th and 20th. The company has been announced as a "Platinum" sponsor of the event, which offers a range of keynote speakers and around 70 sessions in a number of areas pertinent to the industry. A day of workshops takes place before the event starts and its first day will offer a networking reception.
The event itself is in its 5th year and this year it is a two-day affair that caters to SharePoint developers. Many of the workshops and seminars will be presented by "Microsoft Certified Trainers, Microsoft engineers, and Microsoft MCM's and MVPs". They will cover issues such as Enterprise Content Management, Implementation and Administration, Search, Business Intelligence, Office 365 and SharePoint Development.
Those present at the event will be able attend speeches and workshops as they wish, or they can complete a full "learning track" depending on which best meets their requirements. The workshops will cater directly to "SharePoint administrators, software developers, business analysts, information architects, and knowledge workers" and it will ensure that those present are able to leverage SharePoint as fully as is currently possible when they leave the event.
