Web Hosting Provider Aplus.Net Offers Web-a-Photo for TiVo |

July 13, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Aplus.Net has announced the launch of Web-a-Photo for TiVo (http://www.web-a-photo.com) as part of its suite of services. The solution allows users to share photographs and view them on TV screens without the requirement of a computer. The service is free to Aplus.Net customers who have purchased a Solo XR hosting plan or above.
“Aplus.Net is proud to be the first company in the world to combine its photo storage service with a TiVo Digital Video Recorder,” explained Aplus.Net CEO and President Ivan Vachovsky. “We designed the service to provide TiVo users with a hassle-free way to view and share photos with family and friends. It’s all about convenience: No cables, no converters, no adapters are necessary. People can manage their photos simply by using their TV remote control. And since no computer is needed, the action can happen anywhere—in your living room, at your friends’ and relatives’ homes, even in public places such as trade shows and hotels.”
The service requires photos to be uploaded to Web-A-Photo, Aplus.Net’s online photo storage service. A free software client is required to access Web-A-Photo and must be downloaded at the service website. The software automatically recognizes most camera or media card readers and allows photos to be “rotated, zoomed, displayed, emailed, and much more,” using the TiVo remote control. |
