Web Hosting Provider Apollo Hosting Adds CanIt-PRO Anti-Spam Software
October 9, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Apollo Hosting (http://www.apollohosting.com) has added CanIt-PRO anti-spam software to its range of services. Over 30,000 Apollo Hosting customers will benefit from the software which processes around half a million spam emails per day.
“We were fairly happy with our anti-spam filter at the time, but they wanted to re-negotiate the contract,” explained Apollo's Vice President of Operations, Don McLeman, discussing the reasons for implementing the new solution. “This would have been expensive for us and bad for our clients. One of our techs brought up Roaring Penguin's CanIt as a possible solution to our problem at the time, but the way he described it didn't make it sound like the solution we were looking for.”
Apollo initially decided against using Roaring Penguin's solution but soon found the solution they had opted for required a lot of effort to manage, requiring “constant checking, and changing of settings to meet customer demands.” Company President, Tamara Field had seen CanIt used at another company and decided to reevaluate it as a possible anti-spam filter. After a further look at the solution, the company decided to adopt it.
