Greatest potential in Central and Eastern Europe

ATM S.A. and Linxdatacenter have signed a partnership agreement to start selling each others’ colocation services to customers in Central and Eastern Europe.

“Together, we have the telecommunications infrastructure that is unique in Europe and meets highest worldwide standards. There is no other operator in this region who could meet the scale and quality of our services. This makes us a natural partner for every international company that wants to operate in Europe, and to Western telcos who want to expand their business towards the East,” said Maciej Krzyżanowski, Vice-President of ATM S.A. “We believe that our joint commercial and marketing efforts will translate into a good bottom line for both our companies even in this calendar year,” added Maciej Krzyżanowski.

Arno Coster, Senior Vice-President Sales, Marketing and Product Management at Linxdatacenter, says: ”With this agreement the customers of ATM may have access to the data center services and outsourcing solutions of Linxdatacenter in Moscow, St Petersburg, Warsaw and Tallinn as well. Whilst we can offer our international clients broader access to data center services in Poland. As we anticipate to expand our services to other cities across the globe, we can even more serve the cost, compliancy, security and continuity demands of our international customers that need solutions in more than just one place or country. With this approach our customers will experience optimum availability of their systems, including workload management of their hardware and applications”.

The total area of technical facilities at ATM and Linxdatacenter comprises of 6 data centers (in Warsaw, Katowice, Moscow, Tallinn, and Sankt Petersburg) with currently more than 23,000 sq m, 50 MW of available power featuring redundancy and emergency power systems. This constitutes the most extensive colocation and hosting service offering in this region of Europe, aimed both at local and international telecommunications and other corporate customers such as finance, and electronic media companies.

“Financial markets perceive investing in data centers as a future-proof business with very fast growth opportunity. Market capitalizations of the largest data center operators clearly prove that. On U.S. stock exchanges, data center operators have P/E ratios at around 85, and EV/EBITDA at around 14. This backs our belief that this direction of ATM’s growth will be one of the cornerstones for building value for our telecommunications business in CEE region,” said Tadeusz Czichon, Vice-President, ATM S.A.
