Managed Services Provider Attenda Chosen to Manage MNPA's New Customer Self- Service Web Portal |

May 23, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed services provider Attenda (http://www.attenda.net) has been chosen to manage MNPA's new customer self-service web portal, it was reported yesterday. The company, which bills itself as “the Always On Managed Services Company”, has signed a three year contract with MNPA – an award winning pension administration specialist and a subsidiary of the £3 billion ($4.9 billion) Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund.
Voted 2008 Pension Administrator of the Year, MNPA “provides pension administration services to a wide range of clients”. Their involvement with Attenda is the company’s “first significant web-based project” aimed at “delivering more self-service options to their membership”.
"As a strategic project, minimizing risk was a key factor in the decision making process and this led us to outsource the operational management and support of the website infrastructure to Attenda," explained MNPA’s Information Systems Manager, Paul Rooney. "Attenda had all the required credentials with a proven capability and track record in operating and managing high availability business critical web applications for some of Europe's leading companies."
MNPA manages benefits for in excess of 350,000 pension scheme members. According to the company, “24x7 availability and IT certainty” were key elements of its decision to outsource the hosting and operational management of its website platform to Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Attenda, a company which is also both ISO9001 and ISO27001 accredited, an HP SP Signature Partner, a SAP Adaptive IT Hosting Provider, a SunTone accredited managed service provider and an Accredited Catalist Supplier. |
