OneCloud Software (OneCloud) has announced the launch of its new OneCloud Recovery offering. The company, which has headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, specializes in making the public cloud “a secure enterprise data center extension” through its patented hybrid Automated Cloud Engine (ACE) solution. It prides itself on being the first company to fully automate disaster recovery for VMware-based data centers that leverage Amazon Web Service (AWS).
ACE “sets up a cost-optimized replica” of a company’s IT infrastructure in the cloud. The result is automated, scalable and efficient, and can be used for functions such as business continuity and disaster recovery. The solution eliminates the need for a secondary data center and its “built-in cloud cost optimization” means it provides disaster recovery with recovery times of only 1-24 hours at “50 to 75 percent lower total cost than any other solution available today”, meaning after a major incident businesses are quickly operational again. Users need not have any prior knowledge of AWS.
