avidInteractive Announces Release of ServeraSuite Server Monitoring System

March 30, 2007
March 30, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – avidInteractive (http://www.avidinteractive.com/) has released the ServeraSuite Server Monitoring System, the company announced this week. According to the company, developers of popular helpdesk software IntelloDesk, ServeraSuite allows users to engage in remote server monitoring from a desktop or workstation PC.

avidInteractive’s solution provides a range of features including popup notifications from a task tray, email notifications to a customized address book for each server, archivable event logs, and server load monitoring. "One of the more powerful features of ServeraSuite however, is the ability to reboot and restart services and servers directly from the ServeraSuite console," explained Mark Klink, President and Lead Developer of avidInteractive.

When the application is not running on the desktop, Servera StatSync, an optional service, continually monitors StatSync enabled server groups. Servera StatSync also allows users to link their customers directly to website uptime statistics.

"We wanted to give hosting companies a more reliable method of monitoring their servers without relying on 3rd party services, which are only reliable when the provider's own server is responsive, or server-side scripts on the same or external servers, which are largely unreliable if ran from the server you're monitoring and can be quite expensive to run from an external server," suggested Mr. Klink. He added, "Your techs need to know immediately, when your server or a service on it is non-responsive, without waiting for notification from someone else. This allows them to react immediately and appropriately."
