Big Blue’s Watson Analytics Now in Open Beta
American multinational, IBM Corporation - also known as Big Blue - has shifted its Watson Analytics solution to Open Beta, meaning the 'Big Data' platform is open to the general public. It is currently accessible free of charge as a "freemium service" and over 22,000 people have to date registered for the service.

Located in Armonk, New York, United States, IBM is a globally recognized brand with business activity ranging from web hosting and consulting to infrastructure and computer hardware and software services. The Watson platform is part of its artificial intelligence program and an extension of the supercomputer that was famed for winning American quiz show Jeopardy in 2011.

Watson's Big Data capabilities enable users to generate graphs, infographics and other visual data to represent the correlations it finds in enormous amounts of data. The corporation has already invested heavily in the data analysis potential of the platform and earlier this year announced a further investment of $1 billion in a bid to maximize Watson's revenue generating potential.
