Big Blue Reorganizes Indian Executive Team
Big Blue - otherwise known as global IT giant IBM - has reorganized its Indian executive team. The corporation made Rajesh Nambiar Head of Global Business Services on December 1, 2014, reaffirming its commitment to the cloud and 'Big Data' analytics. The move comes in the wake of revenue drops over the last a year and a half.

Mr. Nambiar was previously General Manager and Managing Partner of the Singapore-based IBM Asean and he replaces Suhas Bhide who now focuses on IBM Asia-Pacific activity. Nambiar has a long history with IBM and previously held positions such as Vice President and General Manager for Global Delivery at IBM India, a role that saw him oversee IBM's delivery framework and had him responsible for managing an Indian talent pool. Other roles included Head of Services Integration.

IBM in India recently lost Jeby Cherian, its Vice President and Managing Partner, IBM Global Business Services, India and South Asia, who resigned last month. In addition Anita Sanghi, Director of Finance and CFO of Domestic Business resigned in November after being with the company in finance roles since 2004. Activity in India has helped IBM fuel its growth and around 130,000 people are said to be employed by IBM in India - a figure that represents around 30% of its global workforce.
