Bob Parsons, CEO and Founder of Web Host and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy, Receives Honorary Doctorate Degree

June 2, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Bob Parsons, the CEO and Founder of web host and domain name provider Go Daddy (http://www.godaddy.com), has received an honorary doctorate degree, it was announced recently. The award allows Mr. Parsons to use the letters “D.H.L.” (Doctorate in Humane Letters) after his name.

The doctorate was awarded by the President of the University of Baltimore, Mr. Robert Bogomolny last week. Mr. Parsons was keynote speaker at the award ceremony and made a fifteen minute address. Around 375 Yale Gordon School of Liberal Arts and Merrick School of Business students were graduated at the event. "It was an absolute honor to speak to the students," said Mr. Parsons.

Mr. Parsons graduated with an accounting degree in 1979. He joined the U.S. Marines after high school and was awarded a Purple Heart. On his return from Vietnam he worked at a Baltimore steel mill before deciding to attend the University of Baltimore. He was key to the introduction of Go Daddy’s risque 2005 Super Bowl advertisement. GoDaddy.com bills itself as “the world leader almost three times over” as far as domain registration is concerned.
