March 2, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Brazil’s largest web hosting provider has selected SWsoft Virtuozzo (http://www.swsoft.com), it was reported yesterday. LocaWeb (http://www.locaweb.com.br) has launched Virtual Private Server (VPS) services using Virtuozzo, possibly one of the industry’s most recognized automation and virtualization software brands. Virtuozzo creates multiple, isolated virtual environments - or virtual private servers - on a single physical server and operating system.

Brazil has seen a boom in web hosting which has become an important segment of the country’s “emerging Internet economy”. Statistics suggest 30 million Brazilians (16 percent of the population) use the Internet.
