British Hosting Provider UK2 Group Offers Customers Fully Mobile Responsive Websites
British hosting provider UK2 Group is offering customers access to fully mobile responsive websites. Established in 1998, the company, which has headquarters in Shoreditch, London, is the parent body of a range of brands such as UK2.net, Midphase, VPS.net and 100TB, each of which offers a number of services including web hosting, dedicated servers and Virtual Private Servers (VPS) alongside domain name registration services. The group operates data centers in the United Kingdom and the United States and its also offers customers a Website Builder, the latest version of which enables users to design responsive websites.

Responsive websites are more accessible over mobile devices (mobile phones, phablets, and tablets). 42% of websites accessed over the Internet in the United Kingdom were accessed using a mobile device in 2014. As a result of the substantially better user experience they offer, Google favors sites that have responsive designs. Despite their advantages, research conducted by Lloyds Bank suggests that in 2014 only 50% of small businesses in the United Kingdom had responsive websites.

Version 7 of UK2 Group's Website Builder solution automatically manages a website's content so that it appears organized through a mobile device. The solution offers a range of templates (around 200) that its customers can choose for their website designs. The solution offers a simple interface for the addition of text, images, videos and social networks, as well as a simple approach to managing background colors and text.

“There’s no doubt we’re living and working in an increasingly digital world and the importance of having an online presence has become vital for business success," explained UK2 Group's COO, John Morris. "Hiring a web developer is not a financially viable option for everyone but with our new Website Builder, our customers can quickly and easily create professional looking and functioning websites that cater to changing web access habits, whether it is someone using a tablet on a train, or reading content from a smartphone on a sofa at home.”
