Pronto Software (Pronto) and IBM – traditionally known as ‘Big Blue’ – have extended their partnership. Pronto, which has headquarters in Victoria, Australia, has been involved in developing business management software for over 4 decades. The company offers a range of services, including its Pronto Xi platform which provides modules for a range of functions including financials, retail, CRM, supply chain management, warehouse management, and manufacturing. Pronto and IBM will work together to offer cloud integration services to mid-market companies. News of the extended partnership comes on the heels of the release of the new Pronto Xi web interface.
IBM, which has headquarters in Armonk, North Castle, New York, United States, is traditionally a software and hardware developer but over recent years has changed direction and become a key player in the cloud arena. Together Pronto and IBM will enable customers to integrate popular third-party business apps and systems with Pronto’s Pronto Xi ERP and Business Analytics platform through IBM’s WebSphere Cast Iron service.
“Our vision is to deliver tools to enable a modern, web-based, connected enterprise,” explained Pronto Software’s Chief Operating Officer, Chad Gates. “Customers want a singular interface for all of their business information and Pronto Connect provides the capability to do that efficiently. “The WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration features a pre-configured architecture allowing us to create new API connectors for Pronto Xi quickly and simply. This offers a significant cost saving and productivity gain when compared to the more traditional approach of custom coding.”
