March 4, 2009 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web host C I Host is offering a promotion on load balancing options, it was reported recently. According to the company it will offer free load balancing to customers who order two dedicated server packages. According to the company, the move comes as a means of helping businesses decrease the cost of staying online.
New and existing C I Host customers can benefit from this promotion. If a second dedicated server is contracted, a load balancing solution is provided free. Alternatively, if a customer adds load balancing to an existing dedicated server, C I Host provides the solution with a 50% discount.
"In this turbulent economic environment, our customers and savvy businesses worldwide are looking for ways to maximize their channels of revenue while reining in costs," explained CI Hosts Executive Director of Business Development, Erin Bullock. "Our load balancing promotion helps customers respond to both of these concerns."
Load Balancing allows servers to manage roughly twice the amount of typical traffic for applications, web services and email. Should a server experience problems or failure, another carries the load to ensure a site stays up. The increase in availability means customer sites stay up even if one server experiences a failure, keeping sites at the ready and offering peak performance. In addition, Service Health Checking establishes potential performance issues and re-routes traffic to another server in the event of failure.
C I Host is based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, USA and provides web hosting, domain name registrar (DNR), and colocation services. The company is accredited by ICANN to register domain names and operates multiple data centers across the United States, with its main facility and Network Operations Center in Bedford, Texas, USA.
