HostMDS has announced a new line of web hosting options. The company has also revamped its website. HostMDS, which was recently acquired by Canadian provider Cirrus Hosting, offers a range of hosting-related services including shared and VPS hosting, colocation, and dedicated server options. The company operates a data center in the Greater Toronto Area where the Toronto Internet Exchange (TorIX) is located. Its enhancements include adding Solid State Disks (SSD) to its web hosting offerings.
Unlike the more traditional 'spinning disk' hard disks used in the web hosting industry, SSD disks have no moving parts are considerably faster. Using SSD disks increases efficiency, particularly website page loading times. The company has also announced its plans now come with free SSL certificates managed by Let’s Encrypt, and Spam protection managed by Dutch provider SpamExperts. Its new hosting packages start at only $2.99 and provide unlimited disk space and bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, and the cPanel control panel.
HostMDS' VPS options offer dedicated disk space, RAM, and CPU with full root access and remote reboot capability. Its VPS plans start at only $9 per month. Additionally, HostMDS has introduced dedicated server hosting options starting at $79.99 per month that allow customers to configure CPU, RAM, and disk space. Utilizing the Linux operating system, its servers are located in Canada and offer a genuine 99.99% uptime guarantee.
