Canadian Web Hosting Announces Shared Hosting Server Upgrades
Canadian Web Hosting, a full service web host based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, has announced upgrades to its Linux and Windows shared hosting servers alongside discounts for its shared hosting options.

Established in 1998, Canadian Web Hosting is an SSAE 16 Type II SOC 1 certified provider catering to a broad customer base that includes companies of a range of sizes. Alongside shared hosting, the company offers Virtual Private Servers (VPS), cloud hosting, dedicated server, and IT-as-a-Service options.

As part of its shared server upgrades, Canadian Web Hosting has upgraded hardware to increase disk input/output (I/O) rates. The company's servers utilize VMware virtualization and offer dual Intel E5 Xeon processors with a minimum of 32GB of RAM. The company's servers utilize the latest RAID10 configured Intel 520-series Crucial M4 series Solid State Drives (SSD) to improve read/write caching, and each flash memory drive provides 256GB of storage. Combined these upgrades mean that all types of websites (including static pages, and dynamic sites that utilize databases) are more accessible and benefit from faster load times.

"We host many users operating High Performance websites, web applications, databases and indexes, as well as environments in which data is subject to frequent access and requires power and flexibility but don’t have the budget flexibility to move to cloud hosting or a dedicated server," explained Matt McKinney, Director at Canadian Web Hosting. "During the upgrade, we performed repeated tests and uncovered truly unprecedented performance as well as significantly lower server load that translates to more processing power and elimination of potential bottlenecks for our customers. We are happy to say that our upgraded shared servers offer unparalleled performance and with our new 50% shared hosting promotion we’ve made it easier than ever to move to Canadian Web Hosting."
