Carpathia Hosting, the leading provider of enterprise managed hosting services for government agencies and businesses, has announced it will begin offering managed cloud solutions in its Phoenix Datacenter. The addition of cloud services bolsters Carpathia’s colocation, bandwidth and managed services already delivered in the Phoenix datacenter.
In the Phoenix facility, Carpathia Hosting will offer the first managed cloud designed for enterprises: Carpathia AlwaysOn/InstantOn™. This hybrid model, which is already available in Carpathia Hosting’s Blue Ridge Datacenter in Harrisonburg, Va., is the first of its kind, enabling customers to seamlessly augment their colocated or dedicated infrastructure with instantly available, shared-infrastructure, therefore improving IT performance and value. The hybrid approach of pairing Carpathia’s cloud platform with colocation and managed services allows customers to take advantage of the best attributes of each, without operationally separating those technology solutions as Carpathia Hosting’s competitors do.

Carpathia’s cloud platform is used to deliver a number of datacenter optimizations services, including cloud bursting, elastic computing and disaster recovery solutions. The Phoenix cloud deployment allows these and other services to be delivered with geographic diversity, enabling customers to be in production in any of Carpathia Hosting’s northern Virginia facilities, while utilizing Phoenix as a disaster recovery (DR) location or vice-versa.
