Purchases firm from parent company; planning begun for next phase of company’s growth
BETHEL, Connecticut, September 16, 2004 — Web.com, a leading Web hosting and services provider, announced today that the company’s CEO, Will Pemble, has purchased the firm from its parent company, Web Services Co. of Redondo Beach, California. The amicable transfer of ownership allows Web.com to concentrate on streamlining business processes and expanding its Web services portfolio to meet the needs of an ever changing market.
Web Services Co. provided Web.com with financing, human-resources support and legal service; Pemble has run the successful business from its Connecticut headquarters since he became CEO in 1999.
