Windstream Hosted Solutions has announced that its Elastic Hybrid Cloud is now available as an "enhancement" to its Windstream Managed Private Cloud - a solution which bridges private and public clouds to provide "greater data and application portability".
Windstream Hosted Solutions, which has headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, maintains a network of 27 data centers. Its cloud solution enables companies to engage the benefits of the cloud without huge upfront investment. The company also offers managed and dedicated hosting solutions that combine with its range of offerings such as VoIP, SIP trunking, and MPLS. Available of an "Pay-as-you-Use" basis, Windstream's Elastic Hybrid Cloud solution offers a range of features including Virtual Data Centers and hybrid clouds. The solution also offers an "intuitive management system" with a proprietary portal that makes dedicated private clouds as usable as public clouds. In addition, Windstream's Elastic Hybrid Cloud offers cloud bursting to manage usage spikes and a range of security features that protect against intrusion and DDoS attacks, amongst other threats.
