Cloud Application Services Provider Contegix Acquires Cloud and Managed Services Provider Equip
Cloud application services provider Contegix has acquired cloud and managed services provider Equip. Contegix, which has headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, was established in 2004. Alongside cloud and managed services, the company provides application lifecycle management services and caters for companies of all sizes - from “start-up to enterprise”. Through its acquisition of Equip, Contegix becomes “the first full-stack Atlassian service provider to deliver a single source for license management, migration, hybrid cloud hosting, implementation and Tier 1 through Tier 3 support”.

Equip, which has headquarters in Portland, Oregon, United States, was established in 2013. The company is an ‘Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner’. Atlassian is a software development and collaboration tools provider whose services improve software development, project management, collaboration and code quality. Its services are utilized daily by “millions of users globally”. Contegix is now able to extend their managed hosting offering to provide full stack Atlassian support. Equip is Contegix’s fourth acquisition over recent years, with other companies including Distributed Systems Services, Inc. acquired in 2016, cloud and managed-services provider Admo.net Web Services, LLC in 2017, and more recently, cloud services provider BlackMesh, Inc.

“The acquisition of Equip now gives us the certified Atlassian expertise and experience to serve our customers through the full-stack and ongoing support of the Atlassian application,” explained Contegix’s CEO, David Turner. “This full stack of Atlassian offerings, including license management, migration, implementation, and secure hosting allows Contegix to fully deploy Atlassian tools and deliver on our Go Beyond commitment to our customers.”

A FedRAMP-authorized service provider offering federal agencies secure cloud storage and solutions, it offerings leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure public clouds, while the company also offers private, hybrid cloud, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions. It also provides “advanced web content management services” utilizing Drupal, Magento and WordPress Content Management Systems (CMSs).
