Cloud-based Hosting Provider Summit Hosting Enhances Cloud Server Security
Cloud-based hosting provider Summit Hosting LLC (Summit Hosting) has announced it has enhanced cloud server security. Summit Hosting, which has headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States, offers a range of hosting services including Sage and QuickBooks hosting. Established in 2016, the company prides itself on offering “the highest level of performance, security and customer service” underpinned by a “knowledgeable U.S.-based sales team” and “flawless customer support”. The company has enhanced server security through the introduction of ‘2 Factor Authentication’ (2FA).

Summit Hosting’s move is a response to increased cyber-attacks and data breaches globally. 2FA offers another security layer that reduces the possibility of identity theft, phishing emails and ransomware. It requires users provide an additional password using a device like a mobile phone to access data. 2FA has been made available to the company’s QuickBooks, Sage ERP, Sage CRM, Sage Fixed Assets and Sage HRMS users.

“While new data protection regulations that are rolling out don’t specifically require 2 Factor Authentication, we wanted to go above and beyond to instill even more confidence in our application hosting services,” explained the CEO of Summit Hosting, Stan Kania. “By adding the 2 Factor Authentication option on top of our existing rock-solid technology, we’ve created what I think is the most secure cloud hosting environment on the market.” He added, “When you log into your server, you automatically receive a verification code on your mobile phone. Once you enter the code, you can grant or deny access right from the mobile application. It’s a small step that delivers a huge benefit.”
