Citrix has announced that Yatin Kavishwar is the company's new Head of Government and Defense Business for India. Citrix, which specializes in providing desktop virtualization and enterprise mobility solutions, alongside cloud computing options, made the appointment last week.
Mr. Kavishwar is an industry veteran with over 13 years experience. He has a strong sales and business background catering to the enterprise, public, IT, retail, manufacturing, and SME sectors. His previous positions have included Business Manager, Public Sector at Cisco Systems.
In his new position, Mr. Kavishwar will be responsible overseeing the company's regional government and defense activity and managing its business and growth initiatives. Mr. Kavishwar will be responsible for drawing Citrix into collaboration with government agencies and assisting them in implementing egovernance initiatives.
"In the government segment, it is of utmost importance to deliver and receive digital information and services anytime, anywhere and from any device-safely, securely and with fewer resources," explained Mr. Kavishwar. "Citrix solutions enable government agencies to sharpen the focus of IT resources-efficiently, securely and effectively-to address government's most pressing mission challenges and goals.
