Cloud Company Rax.bg Adds High Availability Functionality its Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud Servers
Cloud provider Rax.bg (Rax) has added ‘High Availability (HA) functionality’ to its private, public and hybrid cloud servers. Rax provides a Virtual Data Center through the Equinix IT facility located in Sophia, Bulgaria. Leveraging the VMware Cloud Computing platform to provide IaaS powered services, its cloud computing, IT hosting and data center service options are underpinned by a 99.995% availability guarantee that is built into the company’s premium Service Level Agreement (SLA). This level of availability is “now a standard service” across the company’s services.

Alongside increasing cloud service availability, HA minimizes application downtime. It protects against Operating System (OS) and hardware failure by offering “cost-effective failover protection”. Rax’s system monitors cloud servers to detect physical host failures and Operating System failures. Cloud servers on the Rax Cloud infrastructure resume automatically after failure without the need for manual intervention.

RAX is a VMware vCloud Air Network member. Its service allows customers to increase IT agility by offering an IaaS service powered by VMware technology. Its customers can move workloads from VMware vSphere-based virtualized or private cloud environments directly to its VMware IaaS powered service.
