Cloud Computing Company Beeks Acquires Trading Platform Infrastructure Provider VDIware
Cloud computing company Beeks Financial Cloud (Beeks) has acquired trading platform infrastructure provider VDIware LLC (VDIware). Beeks, which offers a range of services including VPS and dedicated server options, specializes in offering plans that “suit the needs of traders”. Established by an ex-IBM employee and located in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Beeks’ latest acquisition comes in the wake of its acquisition of New York-based rival Gallant VPS last year.

VDIware, a futures specialist which has headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, USA, “designs ultra-low latency trading platforms and provides global trading infrastructures through proximity data centers.” The acquisition was funded by Beeks itself but the financial aspects of the deal were not released beyond it being a “seven-figure sum”. Advice on the deal was provided by investment bank Berkshire Capital, which is based in New York and specializes in mergers and acquisitions.

“Our aim is to become a cross-asset-class financial markets hosting specialist for the foreign exchange (forex), futures, and equities markets,” explained the company’s CEO Gordon McArthur. “We have an unrivalled reputation in the forex markets and the acquisition of the highly respected VDIware brings our world-beating hosting services to institutional clients in the futures town, Chicago.”
