Nimbix has announced the technology preview of JARVICE 3.0. Nimbix, which has headquarters in Richardson, Texas, United States, was established in 2010. The company is the “leading provider of purpose-built cloud computing for AI, Machine Learning and High-Performance Computing”. The ‘Nimbix Cloud’ is underpinned by JARVICE - a “robust HPC hybrid cloud software platform fully integrated with Kubernetes”.
JARVICE 3.0 targets organizations that are upgrading data centers with containerized applications but wish to ‘burst’ to the public cloud when necessary. It provides a hybrid software solution that manages “large scale HPC and AI workflows side by side with existing web service and container-native software”. It also offers instant access to HPC workflows and open source applications in a “click-to-run catalog”.
Once installed, JARVICE 3.0 offers users access to the Nimbix suite of containerized HPC applications. In addition, it allows users to install their own platform apps. JARVICE 3.0 can also be implemented in public clouds and on private infrastructure. The solution will be provided as a “set of containerized turn-key workflows, ready to run at scale on existing Kubernetes infrastructure using Nimbix's advanced cloud technology” - Kubernetes provides the underlying infrastructure while JARVICE 3.0 “optimizes large-scale applications and delivers them with point and click ease”.
