RapidScale has launched CloudUniversity - a cloud education platform for end users. The company, which has headquarters in Irvine, California, USA, offers a wide range of cloud-based services including Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). CloudUniversity will act as a resource that provides RapidScale's customers with "base-level knowledge" regarding the cloud, DaaS, IaaS and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service. Alongside courses on the various aspects of the cloud, RapidScale will offers "marketing and campaign materials" that its sales partners can use to generate more customers.
At present, CloudUniversity offers 12 different courses with various titles including "What is the Cloud?", "CapEx vs. OpEx", and "Hosted Exchange and Private Exchange". It can be utilized by "someone with any level of cloud knowledge" and aims to "inform and educate those interested in advancing their knowledge about the cloud".
"CloudUniversity (https://rapidscale.net/) is the first customer education platform of its kind that focuses on vendor agnostic content, which allows customers to continue to work with and depend on their sales partner to engineer their cloud roadmap or hybrid cloud solution," explained a RapidScale press release. " RapidScale is a channel-centric cloud services company and focuses on providing resources to its partners in order to generate cloud business."
