Cloud CRM Company Salesforce Acquires Intelligence and Data Science Company MinHash
Cloud Contact Relationships Management (CRM) company Salesforce has acquired intelligence and data science company MinHash. Salesforce, whose head office is in San Francisco, California, United States, is a global brand recognized for its cloud-based CRM solutions. Its value has been estimated at around $50 billion. The company’s acquisition of MinHash is intended to strengthen its marketing intelligence capability.

Financial aspects of the deal were not released but it was announced that MinHash’s team would be absorbed by Salesforce.

MinHash, which has headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, was established in 2014. It is the creator of AILA – a solution that “brings the power of artificial intelligence to uncover emerging trends that are relevant and actionable”. AILA is billed as an “AI driven marketing specialist” that assists marketers by using a wide range of media sources to gather data in a number of forms (text, images, hashtags and urls). Data is crafted into a campaign “with a relevant theme, unique messaging and the right audience”.

“We’re excited to share the news that the MinHash team is joining Salesforce,’ suggested a message from the MinHash team which was posted on its website. “At Salesforce, we will continue to pursue our passion for search, data science and machine learning on a much broader scale, as part of the world’s #1 CRM company”, the message added.
