Cloud Hosting Provider Vastspace Enhances Cloud Server Options
Cloud hosting provider Vastspace has enhanced its cloud server options with a new web-based user interface and Solid State Drives (SSDs). The Singapore-based company offers a range of products and services including Linux Virtual Private Server (VPS) options and Linux and Windows dedicated servers. The company also offers SSD cloud servers and a ‘shared cloud’ alongside cloud-based anti-spam and storage options.

SSD solutions are significantly faster than “spinning disk options and are extremely beneficial for users with a large number of databases and I/O applications. Vastspace’s SSD cloud server solutions make “tens of thousands of read/write input and output operations per second” while more traditional hard drives only make several hundred per second. This means server boot times improve and websites operate more efficiently and quickly.

Vastspace’s options offer a “self-service portal” that allows customers to “take greater control of their cloud servers”. It enables users to scale resources as required and simplifies processes like backups. Vastspace’s Cloud Server Cluster provides SSD servers that are supported by batteries to avoid downtime caused by power outages. In addition, each server node leverages 10Gbps of redundant connectivity.
