FastComet Inc. (FastComet) has overhauled its shared hosting platform. FastComet, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, offers a wide range of services that target entrepreneurs, smaller businesses and developers. The company has been involved in web hosting for more than 7 years and has offered public cloud hosting since 2013. Alongside Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) options, it also offers system administration services to private and business customers.
FastComet’s changes include upgrades to its shared hosting plans that offer “clearer limits and plenty of room for growth”. 'StartSmart’, its “entry-level shared hosting plan”, enables customers to “host one domain name” through their account. The company’s ‘ScaleRight’ plan enables customers to host “unlimited domain names” while its ‘SpeedUp’ plan provides an “enhanced platform, increased reliability, and extra speed” with Solid State Drive (SSD) for storage and databases alongside a RAID 10 configuration for speed and security. FastComet’s current customers will not see any changes to existing shared hosting plans.
FastComet’s plans offer a solid list of features including SpamExperts Mail Protection, Patchman, and GlobalSign Private SSL,each available at no additional cost. “We’ve always wanted to be the final hosting decision someone had to make,” explained FastComet’s Director of Product, Daniel Lee. “We understand the trouble it takes to research, plan for and study a web hosting provider. Our goal was always that once you choose us, there’s never a need to go through that process again. Our new cloud hosting plans help us get closer to that goal.”
