Cloud, Infrastructure and Dedicated Server Provider Hivelocity Enhances Network with NTT Communications Transit
Cloud, infrastructure, dedicated server and colocation services provider Hivelocity has enhanced its network through the addition of NTT Communications transit. The move sees NTT move alongside organizations such as Level 3, Global Crossing, Comcast, Time Warner Telecom, GTT, and Cogent as transit providers for Hivelocity’s network.

Ranked as the second-best network provider after Level 3, NTT’s addition means Hivelocity’s network carries the bulk of the world’s top Tier 1 global fiber networks. It reaches to 159 countries and can adequately cater to Hivelocity’s broad global customer base, which currently includes 137 countries. The move comes after Hivelocity’s recent expansion of its Tampa, Florida data center and complements its private peering network with Points of Presence (POPs) in Los Angeles, Tampa, Miami and Atlanta.

“We have a very large customer base throughout Latin America with a heavy concentration in Brazil specifically, explained Dejan Protich, Senior Network Engineer at Hivelocity. “With the tools provided within our Noction intelligent routing protocol software I was immediately able to see our network performance improve in Brazil, Columbia, Japan and China upon turning up our NTT fiber.”
