Cloud native platform provider
Pivotal Software, Inc. (Pivotal) has acquired Cloud Foundry specialist CloudCredo. Pivotal, which has headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, specializes in software and services that help the development of cloud-based custom data and analytics applications. The company bills itself as driving software innovation “for many of the world’s most admired brands” with services used by “millions of developers in communities around the world”. Pivotal’s acquisition of CloudCredo will strengthen its Cloud Native Platform capability by adding “highly sought-after Cloud Foundry experts” to its team.
CloudCredo, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, specializes in Cloud Foundry development and services. The two companies have been working with each other since 2012 to deliver “SLA-driven production services using Cloud Foundry”. The acquisition includes “stayUp”, a CloudCredo subsidiary specializing in Cloud Foundry log analysis. Financial aspects of the deal were not released. CloudCredo will remain located in London and continue to cater for existing customers, but its mission henceforth will be to “continue driving Pivotal Cloud Foundry growth across the world”.
“CloudCredo enhances Pivotal’s powerful next-generation portfolio of products and services by bringing extensive knowledge of deploying, running and customizing Cloud Foundry for some of the world’s largest and most admired brands,” explained Pivotal’s CEO, Rob Mee. “With this expertise, we can better help our customers transform their enterprises by embracing and leveraging Pivotal’s Cloud Native platform more quickly."
