Cloud solutions provider Exabytes Capital Group Sdn Bhd (
Exabytes) has acquired data center services provider HostPro2U. Exabytes, which has headquarters in Bayan Baru, Penang, Malaysia, provides cloud-based hosting to small and medium-sized enterprises. Established in 2001, alongside more traditional web hosting offerings its suite of services extends to public and private cloud hosting, dedicated servers, Virtual Private Server (VPS), SSL certificates, and domain name registration. Financial aspects of its acquisition of HostPro2U have not been released.
This is the group’s third acquisition of 2018, coming on the heels of its purchases of ICONZ-Webvisions and Cybersite Services. HostPro2U, which has headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Selangor D.E, Malaysia and data center facilities in Selangor, Malaysia, is a division of E-global innovative Sdn Bhd. Established in 2009, its services include cloud hosting and reseller hosting alongside dedicated servers, colocation, managed disaster recovery, and managed cloud backup services.
“HostPro2U is our third acquisition in 2018, as part of the group’s expansion strategy to move up the value chain of being an e-commerce and cloud provider,” explained Chan Kee Siak, the Founder and CEO of Exabytes. “The experience and know-how of HostPro2U will certainly contribute to our existing teams, and together we can become stronger and larger in assisting more clients to grow their business online.”
