Cloud Solutions Provider Salesforce Launches IoT Cloud Services
Cloud solutions provider Salesforce has announced the launch of Internet of Things (IoT) cloud services. Salesforce is a globally recognized brand associated with online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. Established in 1999, and with head offices in San Francisco, California, USA, the company has ventured into a range of cloud-based services, its IOT options being the latest.

News of the launch was made at Salesaforce’s Dreamforce conference, which took place September 15-18, 2015 in San Francisco, California, USA. The news underscores the company’s aims to provide services that analyze huge amounts of user generated data and make it available through “consumer devices”. IoT clouds will improve Salesforce’s customers’ ability to access data and allow companies to be more responsive to their customers’ needs.

The company’s move into IoT brings it into an arena that research company Accenture suggests will be worth around $14.3 trillion by 2030. Salesforce’s IoT services will be available to customers at the beginning of 2016. “We are watching the increasing volume of data coming off of connected devices, and we are thinking about how we can help customers deal with those massive amounts of data,” explained Senior Director of Product Marketing at Salesforce, Dylan Steele.
