Coding Error Results in Blue Screen Crash for XP SP2 Users

February 26, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Users of Microsoft XP SP2 may need to download a recently released patch to fix a coding error in the Http.sys file that causes stack corruption.

If affected the machine will go to a blue screen with the error:

Stop 0x05 (INVALID_PROCESS_ATTACH_ATTEMPT)

The problem also affects Windows server 2003 but currently there is no hotfix or update currently available to resolve this problem.
