Colocation Provider Datacenter.com Launches ‘Lunch and Learn’ Seminar Series with Cloud Giant IBM
Channel-focused colocation provider Datacenter.com has launched a new ‘Lunch and Learn’ seminar series in conjunction with cloud giant IBM. Datacenter.com is headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands and was established in 2015. The company is recognized for paying “more than $500,000” for its signature domain name and its focus on Data Center-as-a-Service (DCaaS) offerings. Its ISO 14001:2015-accredited and 100% renewable energy-powered ‘AMS1’ data center facility is also in Amsterdam. Datacenter.com’s interactive Lunch and Learn series covers areas of IT-Management and is being held in its Amsterdam center on 18 October 2018.

Datacenter.com “sees knowledge sharing as an integral part of its channel-focused go-to-market approach” and the series underscores the company’s approach. The series is free and will include Gerard Smit, IBM’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg, who will elaborate on IBM’s ‘5 in 5’ technology predictions. The event will be in English and Mr. Smit’s talk will cover the impact on business of areas that include Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain and quantum computing. Future Lunch and Learn seminars will be announced shortly and Datacenter.com is “already in talks with other partners” to extend the program. Register for the Lunch and Learn seminars at the company’s website.

“These free-to-attend Lunch & Learn seminars are intended to be small-scale, high-level knowledge sharing events where managers and experts will get the opportunity to interactively learn, while sharing their market visions and know-how,” explained Datacenter.com’s CEO Jochem Steman. “IBM is a great partner for kicking-off our Lunch and Learn series of events, as they have a wealth of knowledge available and superb technological solutions for addressing market challenges. We’ve planned to do several Lunch and Learn seminars with IBM, but also with other partners that will take the stage.”
