Colocation Services Provider ViaWest Announces New Data Center to be Located in Southeast Denver
Colocation services provider ViaWest has announced that its new "Compark" data center is to be located in Southeast Denver in the United States.

The company, North America's leading provider of colocation services, will "pursue Uptime Institute Tier IV design certification" for what will be a 210,000-square-foot facility once the current phase is completed.

This is ViaWest’s fifth Denver area-based data center and it will be completed by the close of the first quarter, 2014. The news comes on the heels of the company's recent announcement that it will open another data center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, also due in the first quarter 2014.

Compark will likely offer a 1.2 Power Use Effectiveness (PUE) rating, demonstrating its efficient power, cooling and data center systems operations. The center will offer data center infrastructure services and hybrid cloud computing environments alongside colocation, managed services and compliance solutions.

“As a Denver-based company for more than fourteen years, we are proud to expand our presence in this region to further serve our existing customers and meet the strong demand we’re seeing nationwide,” explained ViaWest's President and CEO, Nancy Phillips. “Our dedication to delivering high-touch customer service and a growth path of IT capabilities continues to uniquely position us in the market. We are eager to grow our footprint with the addition of another industry-leading data center facility.”
