Computer Sciences Corporation Wins $42.3 Million Department of Defense Contract

October 1, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has announced it has successfully bid for a contract to provide Web hosting and applications support services to the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). The four-year contract has an additional two-year option and is valued at $42.3 million (should the option be utilized). CSC will host internal and external Department of Defense Web sites for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Washington Headquarters Services and other DoD offices and agencies. CSC will also establish DoD networks, implement connectivity for NIPRNET and SIPRNET, provide Web services and improve system registration procedures. "We are proud to continue our long-standing relationship with the DTIC," said Ashley Smith, president of CSC's Networks and Telecommunications Integrated Solutions organization. "Having worked with the Center since 1992 to provide technological support for various DoD agencies, CSC has a solid legacy of experience to help the DTIC produce significant operational results." Approximately 50 CSC developers and systems administrators will carry out the project.
