Consulting and Outsourcing Company Infosys will Acquire Digital Experience Solutions Provider Kallidus
Consulting and outsourcing company Infosys will acquire digital experience solutions provider Kallidus, Inc. The Indian company, which has headquarters in Bangalore, provides “next-generation” services designed to enable its customers in over 50 countries to remain ahead of the curve as far as emerging business and technology trends are concerned. Its purchase of Kallidus, and its Skava affiliate, will cost Infosys in the region of $120 million. The deal will be finalized before the end of March 2016.

Infosys’ decision to purchase Kallidus/Skava reflects the company’s strategy to enable customers to offer enhanced “digital experiences” via IP-led technology offerings and automation tools. Skava caters to retailers by allowing them to offer customers a “mobile-specific experience” through mobile websites, apps, and digital shopping solutions that are hosted on a cloud platform and accessible over a range of mobile devices (mobile phones, tablets, etc.) as well as PCs and in-store devices.

“We see the power of digital experiences in reaching consumers, and in particular retail shoppers in entirely new ways where the physical retail is being augmented and amplified by the digital,” explained Infosys’ Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Vishal Sikka.”Our retail clients want to be part of this digital transformation that is happening all around us, and with this acquisition, we are uniquely positioned to help our clients manage the mobile experiences of their customers, increase revenues through higher conversion rates, and ultimately deliver a delightful and engaging shopping experience.”
