CrystalTech Web Hosting has launched new VPS plans, it was reported recently. To kick off the plans the company (a Newtek Business Services, Inc. company; NASDAQ:NEWT) is offering favorable prices until January 31, 2009.
According to the company, its new plans include Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition and offer users a “dedicated-like environment for less than half the price of most dedicated servers”. Resources available to the plans include 512 MB of memory, 30 GB of disk space, and operating system admin access.
“As more businesses and developers turn to VPS as an affordable alternative to dedicated hosting, it was important that we were able to expand our offering to include a solution that was comparable in price to higher-end shared hosting plans yet more powerful than most other VPS solutions at a similar price point,” explained Newtek Technology Services’ President and Chief Operating Officer, Bob Cichon. “Now customers can leverage the power of a robust Windows server environment at half the price.”
CrystalTech’s plans utilize dual Intel 5410 Quad Core 2.33 GHz processors, mirrored OS drives, and a Raid 6 data array configuration. “By using only our most robust, custom built server hardware, we have been able to assure customers that our VPS environment is not only an affordable solution, but also a highly reliable one,” added Mr. Cichon.
