Palo Alto Networks is to acquire public cloud security and compliance automation provider Evident.io. Palo Alto Networks, which has headquarters in Santa Clara, California, United States, was established in 2005. The company’s products and services extend to cybersecurity options like threat and malware prevention, network security, and firewalls. Its acquisition of Evident.io is reportedly costing the company $300 million, which will be paid in cash.
Evident.io, which has headquarters in Pleasanton, California, United States, was established in 2013. The company is a specialist in cloud-based applications and services security options. It offers Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure services alongside security automation options and cloud compliance/compliance automation. Palo Alto Networks brings together a range of software, hardware, and media solutions to establish integrated security functions. Its operations are increasingly dependent on the cloud and its acquisition of Evident.io will significantly enhance its cloud capability.
