Actifio and IT solutions and managed services provider EACS have formed a ‘strategic alliance’. Actifio, which has headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States was established in 2009. The company has customers in more than 30 countries and offers ‘Virtual Data Pipeline’ technology that “enables businesses to manage, access, and protect their data faster, more efficiently, and more simply”. The company’s approach enhances the adoption of hybrid clouds by decoupling data from physical storage, and freeing data from “traditional infrastructure”. Together Actifio and EACS aim to extend DaaS services in the United Kingdom.
EACS, which has headquarters in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, was established in 1994. The company offers award winning IT solutions and managed services that help its customers increase growth, reduce costs and improve efficiency. Its offerings include “project planning, delivery and consultancy through to fully managed or hosted IT systems”. Actifio's expertise will benefit EACS in a range of areas including cloud data management, disaster recovery and cyber resiliency. The alliance also gives Actifio access to new customers.
