Data Center, Cloud, Interconnectivity and Managed Services Company DataBank Expands Minneapolis-Area Data Center

Data center, cloud, interconnectivity and managed services company DataBank, Ltd. (DataBank) has announced the expansion of its data center in Eagan in the Minneapolis-area of Minnesota, United States. DataBank, which has headquarters in Dallas, Texas, United States, provides “enterprise-class” solutions that manage risk and improve technology performance to enable businesses to focus of core competencies. Its customers benefit from a 100% uptime guarantee for data, applications and infrastructure.
Known as ‘MSP-2’, the center is DataBank’s second in the area. It offers “over a dozen onsite network providers with diverse entry routes” and “serves a dual-role as a premier enterprise class multi-tenant colocation facility as well as a regional carrier-hotel and peering hub”. The expansion adds a third data hall and another 15,000 square foot of space to the Tier-III certified center, which will open in September this year. It brings the facility’s size to over 40,000 square feet of data center floor space.
Financing for the expansion has been provided by Digital Bridge Holdings LLC (Digital Bridge). Established in 2013, Digital Bridge is an Investment Management company “focused on the ownership, investment and active management of companies in the mobile and internet infrastructure sector”.
