Data center, colocation and cloud services provider
Cologix Inc. (Cologix) has appointed Bill Fathers the company’s Chairman and CEO. Cologix, which has headquarters in Denver, Colorado, United States, was in the news earlier this year for bringing its expanded data center in Columbus, Ohio into service. Established in 2010, the company offers managed, cloud, content and critical infrastructure services. It boasts interconnection locations across North America and has data centers in Columbus, Dallas, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Minneapolis, Montreal, New Jersey, Toronto and Vancouver. Mr. Fathers takes over from Grant van Rooyen, a company founder.
Bill Fathers is a 20-year veteran who has held executive roles in a number of companies involved in data center, cloud services, and software activities. This includes Senior Operating Partner at private equity company Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Prior Cologix he was EVP of Cloud Services at VMware. Other roles have included President of public data center and cloud infrastructure provider Savvis. He has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cologix and euNetworks.
