Data Center Innovation Provider Cisco and Cloud Giant Google Form Partnership

Data center innovation provider Cisco and cloud giant Google have formed a partnership. With headquarters in San Jose, California, United States, Cisco was established in 1984. The company specializes in offerings that “create the Internet solutions that make networks possible”. Its wide ranging activities extend to routing and switching technology development and development of advanced technologies like home networking, IP telephony, optical networking, security, storage area networking, and wireless solutions. Cisco and Google will work together to establish a new hybrid cloud solution.
With headquarters in Mountain View, California, United States, Google is an arm of Alphabet Inc. and one of the internet’s leading cloud platform providers. The company offers a wide range of cloud compute and storage options through its ' Google Cloud Platform'. Together with Cisco, Google will work on a solution that delivers development and deployment tools to organizations to allow then to "increase scale and improve agility and security in a hybrid world". The partnership will leverage Cisco's multicloud suite and Google Cloud's open, hybrid cloud technologies (such as Kubernetes, Istio and Apigee) which will be "deployed, managed and secured across on-premises environments and Google Cloud Platform" to give companies a means of securing and monitoring workloads.

"We share a common vision of a hybrid cloud world that delivers the speed of innovation in an open and secure environment to bring the right solutions to our customers." Diane Greene, CEO, Google Cloud added, "This joint solution from Google and Cisco facilitates an easy and incremental approach to tapping the benefits of the Cloud. This is what we hear customers asking for".
